Holli Richey, MS, MAT is an herbalist and educator who has loved plants since she was a child, and began learning about them 15 years ago when she went on her first herb walk.
Since then Holli worked as a horticulturist at Goodness Grows plant nursery in Lexington, GA and attended Patricia Howell's herbal studies program in Rabun County where Holli lived for 5 years.
After attending many herbal conferences and teaching herself the native plants of NE Georgia on her walks, Holli wanted to learn more about using plants as medicine so that she could be a careful and effective herbal practitioner.
Holli studied at Tai Sophia Institute in Maryland and graduated with a MS in Herbal Medicine. While at Tai Sophia, Holli studied with reknowned herbalist and ethnobotanist Jim Duke and UK herbalist Simon Mills, among many others. She has learned to appreciate and utilize the healing gifts of the plant kingdom on physical, emotional and spiritual planes.
Holli introduces people to plants whenever and wherever she can through plant walks, wellness consultations, and classes on plant medicine and spiritual ecology.
She has led plant walks at the US Botanical Gardens in DC for HerbDay, on Baltimore's city streets and parks with Baltimore Bioneers, and in North Georiga's neighborhoods and parks.
