Sunday, July 5th, 10:45am Celebrate our U.S.A. with Mass, Lunch and an afternoon at the Museum. Enjoy a "Free, Fun, First Sunday Festival" following Mass at St. John the Baptist Church, located at 1015 Baker in Costa Mesa, Ca. Exit Fairview from the 405 Freeway, head west and take a left onto Baker St. St. John's is on the corner of Mendoza St. and Baker. Meet inside the Church's vestibule at 10:45 a.m. to sit on the right side of the altar's center section near the front. After the 11am Family Mass, enjoy lunch at Full Moon restaurant by taking a left out of the Church's parking lot and proceeding a few traffic signals to 1420 Baker St., Ste. 1A. The restaurant is on your right just before Harbor Blvd. Complete meals with soup and/or salad from $3.95pp. From there, enjoy a free afternoon of educational fun with live entertainment at the Bowers Museum, located at 2002 N. Main Street in Santa Ana, CA. Free parking is located in the museum's north and south lots. Those lots may be full, so you might want to park in the triangle lot, which is across the street from the Bower's Museum. The triangle-shaped lot is between the 5 Freeway's south entrance ramp and MacFarlane Electric at 2115 N. Main St. By attending all CCF "Free, Fun, First Sunday Festival" events, you will now save $36 on general museum admission. If you can't participate in this CCF event, then save the date of August 2 and September 6, 2009, for the next "Free, Fun, First Sunday Festivals."
