Movie, Mingle & Mangiare
Saturday Feb 13th, 4PM
Meet in front of the AMC 30 (Movie Theater) at The Block at 3520 The City Way, Orange, CA 92668 (off of the 22 or 5 Freeways) at 4 PM. After the show, enjoy dinner at a nearby restaurant that wins the vote of your fellow CCF moviegoers. For those who RSVP at least 24 hours before those dates, you'll receive contact information with an emailed confirmation.
Presentation and Potluck
Saturday Feb 20th, 5PM
Attend 5 PM Mass at OLQA and after Mass, join us for dinner. We are having stuffed chicken breasts with mashed potatoes, following Dr. V. Dendinger's talk about Lent. In lieu of bringing an appetizer, dessert or drinks for 10 people, a $7 contribution is welcome.
Festival of Whales
Saturday March 6, 11AM
Meet at the Our Lady Queen of Angels Parish Center (OLQA is at 2046 Mar Vista Drive in Newport Beach, CA, off Jamboree between the 405 Freeway and Pacific Coast Highway) at 11 AM to carpool to 34451 Ensenada Place in Dana Point, CA, to enjoy live entertainment and a street fair featuring arts and crafts with a plethora of food vendors. At 6 PM, we'll head to enjoy a free movie on the strand. Bring sunscreen and wear layered clothing. A beach blanket and/or chair, snacks to share and your favorite beverage are recommended for the movie. For those who RSVP by March 5th, contact information will be provided. Light to heavy rainfall cancels this CCF event.
Getty Up
Saturday March 27th, 10AM and 12 Noon departure times
Meet at one of four locations to carpool to the Getty Center (off the 405 Freeway, just north of Sunset Blvd. or the 10 Freeway). The 10 AM and 12 noon carpoolers may enjoy the museum that features several free tours and then everyone is to meet in front of the Harold M. Williams Auditorium to enjoy Rana Santacruz's rock and folk inspired music, featuring the selections from Ireland through Appala-chia ... careening through New Orleans and across Mexico with an eclectic mix of acoustic instrumen-tation. It's only $10 per rider to pay for gas. RSVPs are a must before March 25 for the free tickets on an availability basis, but those who RSVP by February 24, can receive carpool info and confirmation.
